Committed to having a positive impact.
Plant one tree at a time
-Since 2020, we have committed to planting a tree for every adoption of our elves.
We are convinced that planting trees in the right places has a positive impact on our planet. Benefits include land rehabilitation, the restoration of forest ecosystems, and the creation of green spaces. New plantings also help reduce water runoff, improve air quality, and promote the creation of green corridors that benefit biodiversity.
Thus, our participation allows the creation of new forests in southern Quebec, which will capture emissions in order to reduce the impact of climate change.
- Together, you and we are working with the Quebec company Compensation CO2 Québec to reforest our Quebec.
- Our trees (yours and ours) are planted in the region of:
Payette- Nantes 3479529
Latitude 45-6513159
Longitude -71.055282
Starting in February 2023, we are working with the ONE TREE PLANTED foundation. We would like to invite you to plant trees with us.

Carbon footprint is the measure of the amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases (GHGs) for which we are responsible.
Carbon offsets represent a credit. Companies and other organizations sell them. They use the money to support projects that reduce or remove greenhouse gases (GHGs) from the atmosphere. They also support projects that prevent GHGs from entering the atmosphere in the first place. These credits are a way to "offset" or counterbalance GHG emissions.
The purpose of the credits is to help people and organizations balance their emissions. The goal is to become carbon neutral.
There are many different types of projects funded by carbon offset companies. These include renewable energy projects, landfill gas recovery projects, biogas plants, and planting. Plants are considered carbon sinks because they remove CO2 from the atmosphere and use it for photosynthesis.
Tree-planting projects sell carbon offsets. Scientists calculate the amount of CO2 that trees are expected to remove over their lifetimes. Tree-planting projects then sell carbon offsets for that amount of CO2. Efforts to protect existing forests at risk can also count as carbon offsets.

High-quality, handcrafted products
Our elves are handcrafted in the peaceful setting of Mont-Saint-Hilaire. We use crochet—an age-old technique passed down through generations—to give the cotton greater strength. This ensures the elves will last and withstand repeated washings.
We are members of the Quebec Craft Council, Citizens of Crafts, and Culture Montérégie.
Lutin de Forêt designs high-quality, environmentally conscious products. This means having items that will last longer and thus reduce our consumption.
All our products are made in Quebec, Canada.
Use of responsible materials:
Love and respect for our planet are our commitment to making choices in a world where the health of the planet and its inhabitants always comes first.
Our raw materials are sourced from recyclable materials and are respectful of our planet.

The best price for quality
The idea of manufacturing art toys like ordinary industrial products, then shipping them across the oceans to be sold in Quebec when we have all the know-how right here? It seems absurd. It costs 7 to 10 times more than in the East. But we only have one cherished toy in our lives, one that accompanies us for a very long time, even more than a generation. We have the right to own an artistic toy free of chemicals. And to enjoy our time with an ethical companion that respects Nature.
At pixiede Forêt we love the artisanal approach in the development of this project: We like things to remain on a human scale, intimate and respectful of Nature.
- Unique in their kind, signed Métiers d'Art.
