OUR STORY

Let me introduce myself, my name is Fabiola or Faby to my friends. The idea of making stuffed animals, sculptures, or rather, Elves, little magical and imaginary beings, came about somewhat from the art of magic :).

Throughout my life, yarn has been a constant presence. When I was little, everyone around me knitted or crocheted. Yes, my grandmothers, my mother (though a little less so), and also my father, who even paid for part of his studies by knitting. My grandmother and great-aunt had knitting machines and, of course, their needles and crochet hooks. So, they were able to knit just about anything. For me, with my child's eyes, it was pure magic.

A little later

When I started university , I was lucky enough to spend time with my lovely grandmothers again. I will always remember those afternoons when I came home from university. I would settle down to knit with my tall and beautiful companions: my Abuela and my great-aunt.

How these beautiful moments will always stay with me!

Love and respect for our beautiful nature have always been a part of me. I've always been involved in all school projects related to the environment. My university research , meanwhile, focused on the founding myths of our culture (always intrinsically linked to respect for Mother Earth ). I've always lived in harmony with nature, embracing a zero-waste lifestyle (even before the term existed). In short, love for nature runs in my veins.

Love and respect for our beautiful nature

A person in red and beige clothing pushes against a huge tree trunk in a dense forest.

The connection between my love of yarn and my passion for nature was strengthened by the arrival of two magical little beings in my life. With their arrival, my desire to crochet was rekindled. I wanted my children to play with toys made with love, safe for them, and respectful of the planet. And so, these magical sprites who inhabit our fantastical menagerie were born.

That's how pixiede Forêt was born in 2017.

Our biggest dreams:

- That children can play with healthy elf toys.

- That our dogs are environmentally responsible.

- That we can plant trees together in Quebec City.

- To create healthy, responsible, sustainable companions with minimal environmental impact.

These imaginary beings have always been a part of my daily life. They enchanted me even before I shared my life with my children. The elves have always been there. For me, they represent the importance of the imaginary world.

Each Elf materializes by mixing imagination, magic, respect for the environment , cotton and crochet.

And thanks to this magic, these elves accomplish their most important task: sharing their love for nature and imagination. They become faithful companions, protectors of dreams, and guides to magical moments.
